AF Demi-Diamond™
A versatile flying insect monitoring station designed for use in areas where fruit fly (Drosphila) are a problem. A small reservoir at the bottom of the monitor means attractants can be added to maximise the monitors efficacy.

• Patterns of triangular holes allow easy access to flying insects whilst making inspection quick and easy.

• Yellow glue board means maximum attractiveness to flying insects.

• Glue board is simple and quick to change.

• Can be used to monitor various other problem insects, e.g. as Stored Product Moths (Ephestia and Plodia) and textile Moths (Tineola bisselliella).

• Doubling of the AF Glue Pads will give a larger catch area, especially useful in areas of high anticipated infestation.

• Can be wall mounted or free standing.

Along with Michael’s appointment, we have invested in a new office, computer network and phone system. The latter was important and a bit of a shock. Only now do we realise how many of your calls that were being missed due to busy lines. Our apologies for this and rest assured that your enquiries will be answered more efficiently in the future.

  Noah's Tool Time

Hi all, my dad tells me that Stanley Bostitch have upgraded their sensational pneumatic hog ring tool. The new model has a new, easy to load cartridge system and has larger (and cheaper) hog rings. This tool will ensure that your StealthNet installations will be more time efficient, cost effective and professional. Dad and I have found that all the jobs we have used this tool have had a reduced installation time and saved labour costs. Recently a number of our clients have invested in this tool and feedback has been very positive. If you’re serious about bird management, this is a must have tool.

  Installation Profiles

“Success Stories” - StealthNet Installations by YOU

Over the past few months there have been some excellent and innovative StealthNet installations by our valued clients. Many of the following also doubled as on-the-job training conducted by our very own Peter McCarthy.

Service Station

Service Station

Project: Service Station

Species: Swallows (Hirando Sp.)

Problem: Swallows and various other species of pest birds were nesting in the beams of the annex.

Impact: Swallow droppings covering the vehicles, pathway and entrance to the office. These were requiring constant cleaning. Complaints from clients and the potential hazard for slip/fall issues were a concern to the service station owner.

Solution: Annex is netted with 19mm black StealthNet to ensure access of all sized birds is stopped. This photo was taken during the recent wet weather and doesn’t do justice to the quality of work on this installation.

Service Station

Hospital Emergency Entrance

Hospital Emergency Entrance

Project: Entrance of a hospital emergency

Species: Pigeons (Columba livia)

Problem: Pigeons were nesting and roosting in behind the window louvers above the emergency entrance. Bird spikes had been installed along the front of the ledges, however, persistent pigeons leap or fly to the back of the ledge to nest and roost.

Impact: Pigeon droppings and nesting material falling onto the pathway, staff lunch area and emergency entrance. This is a major health and safety risk. Also a critical issue was the previously installed bird spikes. They had been glued in the past with construction glue – liquid nails. This product is not UV stable and releases the bird spikes from the surface when in direct sunlight. Spikes falling from buildings are a major hazard and care should be taken in your selection of glue. We recommend Bird Barrier Bond – it is UV stable, dries flexible and has a neutral cure. Bird Barrier Bond will last a long time and is covered by a 5-year warranty when used correctly.

Solution: All the bird spikes were removed and both window areas are netted using 19mm stone coloured StealthNet.

Hospital Light Well

Hospital Light Well

Project: Hospital light well

Species: Pigeons (Columba livia)

Problem: Pigeons were nesting and roosting in the light well where the floor, walls and office windows are covered in droppings and nesting material.

Impact: The noise, mess and smell is a nuisance as well as an OH&S issue.

Solution: Rather than use spikes on each window ledge, 50mm black StealthNet is installed around the top of the light well, eliminating the chance of pigeons entering. The end result is a neat and discrete installation.

Chiropractor Practice

Chiropractor Balcony

Project: The balcony of a chiropractor’s practice

Species: Pigeons (Columba livia)

Problem: Pigeons nesting and roosting in the internal beams of the balcony roof.

Impact: The noise, mess and smell is a nuisance as well as an OH&S issue.

Solution: 50mm black StealthNet is installed to the balcony to stop pigeons entering. It is almost impossible to see the netting in the photos or from the ground.

High Rise Light Well

High Rise Light Well

Project: High-rise light well

Species: Pigeons (Columba livia)

Problem: Pigeons nesting and roosting on the window ledges of a 10-story light well.

Impact: Pigeon droppings litter the floor of the light well which is also a staff lunch area. This offers a potential food safety, slip/fall issue and other OH&S issues. The on-going cost of cleaning the building structure as well as mess, noise and smell is an issue.

Solution: 50mm black StealthNet is installed along with Bird Shock Flex-Track around the perimeter of the light well parapet. Both work together to stop Pigeons entering the light well, as well as landing on the parapet above. Notice the zippers installed in the net to allow the window cleaners to gain rope access in the future. This is an innovative installation combining two of the best systems available.
